I assume Character invention is possible only when a person transcends the Ego ( which stops him doing things) , but the issue is that the EGO is so subtle that it's hard to even notice it.
Somewhere, deep down, everyone knows who they really are. And what stops to them doing certain things... Character Invention is the embodiment of a fictional character so its dependence on ego is next to nothing because you essentially have no relation with that persona, except that you bring it out in certain circumstances.
Many celebrities are not the way they appear off screen. And that’s because they’ve tuned themselves to behave a certain way in front of cameras.
The same applies here but it’s more of vice-versa than anything.
Enjoyed reading the article. Quite mature and well conveyed. Agreeable and thought provoking
Thank you Akbar, appreciate it!
Thank you Navendu, appreciate it! 🙌🏻
Very well written. Conveys exactly what the author wishes to. That's what I opine, communication & expression are all about.

How does one do it. Any illustration? What character would you like to adopt..
You’re essentially creating a persona that differs from your personality in certain characteristics.
You can start developing this character with questions like:
1. What’s their name? What do they look like?
2. Create a backstory. Maybe this character is famous and has cameras on them all the time, therefore they always have to be on.
3. What do they like, dislike?
4. What’s their behavior like?
Your goal with Character Invention is to embody someone you can’t be at all times to effectively switch to that person whenever your best is needed.
And of course, the more you practice it, the better you’ll get at portraying this character!
